The 2018 Ford Fusion SE offers great value in performance and technology. The Titanium edition has a manufacturer's suggested retail price slightly over $30,000. Both of these full-size sedans roll on the Intelligent All-Wheel Drive and SelectShift automatic transmission that has a rotary dial. The signature SYNC 3 infotainment system is smoothly integrated into the dashboards of the SE and Titanium. Both Fusion editions are available in Lightning Blue, Ruby Red, Burgundy Velvet and other premium body colors.

Performance

Running on the Duratec technology, a 2.5 L engine is standard in the 2018 Fusion SE. This naturally aspirated engine produces slightly more than 170 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque. Powered by a single-scroll turbocharger, the Titanium's 2.0 L EcoBoost engine has a maximum output of 245 hp. This turbo engine needs to revolve at only 3,000 RPM to achieve a peak rating of 275 lb-ft of torque. Changing gears in the Fusion requires minimal effort through the SelectShift automatic transmission system. The Intelligent All-Wheel Drive could be paired with this signature transmission that has six gear speeds. Very few sedans on the auto market can match the capabilities of the Fusion's advanced AWD. Featuring the Drift Control function, the electric power-assisted steering ensures optimum handling. You'll also embrace the Active Nibble Control that minimizes vibrations in the steering wheel.

Interior

The power driver's seat in the 2018 Fusion SE and Titanium has 10 position combinations. A memory system for this ergonomic seat stores two preferred settings. Extra support for the lower back is provided by a two-way power lumbar system. Heating with multiple levels is also integrated into the front seats of these Ford sedans. Available in the Titanium edition, vents keep the front seats cool on hot days. Year-round comfort inside the cabin is guaranteed by the Dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control (DEATC) system. One of the most notable features in the Fusion is an electronic rotary dial for the SelectShift transmission. This contemporary gear shifter creates more storage space for the cup holders. Ambient lighting and aluminum-brushed sport pedals are some other premium features inside the Titanium model.

Features

The application suite in the 2018 Ford Fusion SE and Titanium is based on the traditional SYNC 3 technology. Both models come with LCD touch screens with a responsive electrostatic interface. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay deliver an array of smartphone connectivity options at your fingertips. You may take advantage of wireless Bluetooth technology to make phone calls with minimum distractions. The navigation software in the SYNC 3 system is paired with SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link. Both Ford models also offer entertainment on SiriusXM Satellite Radio. A dozen speakers with the Sony label are installed in the Titanium trim. HD Radio is also connected to this premium audio system.
